Target hits the mark with Rodarte and Anna Sui

Target does it again. This time with uber luxe ethereal brand, Rodarte, together with the iconic fashion designer, Anna Sui. Sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy will be designing a limited collection for the retail giant's GO International series, while the Detroit-born, boho pioneer will launch a collection for the Designer Collaboration series.

Rodarte has been seen on the red carpet as worn by Kristen Dunst, Emma Watson, Rihanna, and Reese Witherspoon. The collection will be feminine, yet modern, with a very keen attention to detail. The collection will feature a varied array of textures, fabrics, and embellishments such as faux fur and sequins. The duo is known for their handling of interesting fabrics, unexpected textures, and layering. All these will definitely be highlighed in the collection.

The launch is slated for Dec. 20th, with a 55-piece collection. featuring holiday dresses, and separates. Prices range from $9.99 knee-highs to a $79.99 leopard print jacket. The MSRP for a Rodarte knit usually goes for around $3,000.

The Mulleavy sisters will be joining the ranks of other emerging designers such as Thakoon, Tracy Feith, Erin Fetherston, and Rogan. All of whom have designed collections for GO International.

After the success of Alexander McQueen's Target line, Anna Sui's boudoir-meets-rock-and-roll designs will be on the racks of the bargain giant through their innovative Designer Collaborations Series. This features already established designers, enabling their designs to reach the mass market. The collection will be launched on Sept. 13th but New Yorkers get first dibs in a pop-up shop during  the most talked about shopping event of the year; Fashion's Night Out on Sept. 10th.
