| Urban Outfitters releases LSTN #7 |
This is to all my compatriots who love indie music. Urban Outifitters releases LSTN #7, 25 FREE tracks from today's indie artists, available for FREE download at http://lstn.urbanoutfitters.com/7/ until March 30, 2010.Lots of sweet tracks in this LSTN. Most notably from my indie fave du jour, The Xx, with "Basic Space", from their debut album XX, some synth-pop goodness from Washed Out with "Feel It All Around" from the dreamy album Life of Leisure, and the single, "Dominos, from the British band, The Big Pink. Also worth mentioning are A Place to Bury Strangers' rock electro tune, "In Your Heart", "Home", from the folky, neo-hippie 12-piece band (or rather, family?) Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, the very catchy "Change of Heart" by Swedish artist Sarah Assbring, also known as El Perro del Mar (translation: The Dog from the Sea), and "Laura" by the San Francisco based Girls. Here is a complete track listing if you are still not convinced: "Yalira" by The Very Best "Give Blood" by Rain Machine "Fables" by The Dodos "Laura" by Girls "Calypso Gold" by Princeton "Change of Heart" by El Perro del Mar "Vivid Youth" by Pasterls &Tenniscoats "Basic Space" by The Xx "Beach Town" by Le Loup "Feel It All Around" by Washed Out "I Start To Run" by White Denim "You're a Target" by No Age "In Your Heart" by A Place to Bury Strangers "Sky Ghosts" by The Depreciation Guild "When I'm Gone" by Vivian Girls "Home" by Edward Sharpe & The Magetic Zeros "Mama's Mad Cos I Fried My Brain" by Turbo Fruits "Free Energy" by Free Energy "Dominos" by The Big Pink "No You Don't" by Islands "Eviction Party" by Darlings "Jackhammer" by The Spinto Band "Tropics" by Apache Beat "Dreams Come True Girl" by Cass McCombs "Overnight Religion" by Kurt Vile You can also stream the new LSTN as well as the previous ones on the website.
