Fall is finally here and what better way to start the season with another edition of the Frugal Fashionista!
Fall 2008 is very eclectic and sexy. In this edition of the Frugal Fashionista, we will discuss five designer looks and how to get them for less!
1. The Secretary The Caten brothers' label, Dsquared2, has the sexy secretary as the inspiration for their Fall 2008 collection. With the perfect button-down silk shirt, the sexy pencil skirt, and the uber hot, pointy-toed shoes, you too can rock this sexy look effortlessly.
Vivienne Westwood's version was in houndstooth skirts and scarfs while Valentino's Alessandra Facchinetti takes inspiration from the clean lines and structure of the sixties while modernizing the notable Italian label. Dsquared2 Fall 2008 Valentino Fall 2008

 2. It's a Guy Thing Dolce and Gabbana's Fall 2008 line recalls the old-school tailored look. The collection featured tailored jackets and pants in tweed, printed scarves, poor-boy sweaters/hats, and the season's must-have: plaid (shirts or pants). The menswear inspired trend can also be seen in Karl Lagerfeld's collection, showcasing starched collars combined with skinny ties, very much like what the enigmatic designer wears as a staple. Giorgio Armani's Armani Prive' label also presents this trend though elegant pantsuits with the old-school glamour Armani is famous for. 3. The Dark Night As evidenced by the Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2008 collection, the goth look is going back in style. With the dark futuristic hair and make-up, the fall collection, with its geometric shapes and forms, was perfectly displayed. Alice Temperley (of Temperley London) follows suit. Her muse for the fall collection is the infamous spy and seductress, Mata-Hari. Temperley's collection featured black liquid leggings, strong belted silhouettes, and military inspired designs.

4. Stop to Smell the Flowers Roberto Cavalli and Tracy Reese did. They are bringing back florals this fall. Cavalli's long and feminine dresses versus Reese's sexy, flirty ones say the same thing; this fall, there is a little bit of spring in the air. For the ultimate girly girl, this is the look for you this fall.

5. All Laced Up Miuccia Prada went a little lace crazy this season. Sexy, simple, and feminine, lace is one of fall's must have. John Galliano, designing the Dior Fall 2008 couture line, took France's new first lady, former supermodel Carla Bruni as inspiration. Galliano produced classic silhouettes, with a demure yet subtly seductive feel. This fall, lace is not just restricted to the boudoir, it is this season's classy and sexy essential.
